Conwy Mountain
Overlooking the Conwy estuary, Conwy mountain is a beautifully scenic place to fly. It is generally flown after taking off from Penmaenbach, but as an alternative when the wind is northerly, it is possible to use this small takeoff to fly directly onto the mountain.
Getting to take-off:
From the parking at Sychnant Pass, follow the track almost to the usual Penmaenbach takeoff, before taking the right hand fork towards Conwy Mountain. Takeoff is a grassy area amongst the heather.
Landing:
Top land with care due to the potential for rotor. Please avoid any livestock or feral horses. The beach is also an option at low tide.
